Still locked down

Damn, this lockdown seems to go on and on and on. It's already been over 200 days this year and it just keeps on going. Not too sure why, but this one seems to be particularly draining. And it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Unfortunately it just seems like the case numbers just seem to be going up. We're not great, but at least we're not as bad as Sydney. That said, they could throw the whole country into having to accept living with COVID as opposed to our elimination so far. It's not looking good, especially for heading to Sydney over summer. Be a shame to have to do the whole internship at home.

Uni's gone entirely online this sem, just got wamnesty too. It's not looking great for the rest of it. Most of my subjects seem to be ok, lecturers have generally adapted to the online style but it's really not the same. There is one subject though which is just being taught very poorly. The lecturer has an insistance on quizzing us on stuff he just taught us, and stuff he hasn't taught us. It's not great, so very thankful for the wamnesty.

It's all a bit hard to stay motivated. Missing seeing new people, feeling very drudgy and monotonous. Add to that not sleeping well and its making for a good time. At least the vaccine rollout is starting to accelerate, happy to have had mine. With any luck that will eventually change the numbers and we'll be able to live without these constant lockdowns. We'll get through it with any luck, make it out eventually.
